Steve Hardt, MA, RRT-ACCS
St. Petersburg College

Steve Hardt is a Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) with over 20 years’ experience as a clinician, respiratory care manager, educator, and speaker.  He is currently the director of the Respiratory Care program at St. Petersburg College and a prn therapist at Lakewood Ranch Medical Center in Lakewood Ranch, Florida.  Steve earned a Master’s degree in Adult Education from the University of South Florida.  He has spoken extensively on a number of topics, including medical errors prevention, state board rules, modes of ventilation, and clinical safety issues.  He has also conducted credentialing exam preparation courses for a variety of disciplines, including nursing and physical therapy assistants.

Course Educational Objectives:

  • Discuss the definition of and provide examples of sex and labor trafficking
  • List methods of identifying victims and appropriate reporting
  • Describe resources for victims
